Henry Lee Berry

November 12, 1956 — January 15, 2026

Henry Lee Berry, age 69, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Bel Air, MD.

Henry was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia, to Margaret Carol (Poteet) Berry and the late John Earl Berry.

Henry married his high school sweetheart, Melanie Berry, and together they shared 50 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, laughter, and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a true family man. Henry especially cherished his role as “Papa” and “HB” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fishing was Henry’s life. He loved being on the water, fishing and crabbing whenever he could. He took great pride in his home and especially his garage. Known for his sense of humor, Henry could be quite the jokester and always enjoyed making others laugh. He loved animals, once taking in a feral cat, and enjoyed feeding the birds. He also had a passion for classic cars, once owning a 1941 Plymouth Coupe.

Henry is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Scott, and Lisa Berry; his grandchildren, Jordan Scott, Mason Scott, and Miranda Watts; his great-grandchildren, Westin Post and Leo Padilla; his siblings, Helena Alexander, John Berry Jr., and Joan Via; and David Hunter.
