Helen Rider, age 94, of Phoenix, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the beloved daughter of the late Bradley Osborne and Josephine (Wilson) Tyson and the cherished wife of the late John Rider Jr., with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Helen was a vibrant and talented woman who found joy in many activities. She was an avid knitter, crocheter, and seamstress, and she delighted in reading, solving crossword puzzles, and cooking. Her love for family extended to gardening, playing cards, and hosting pinochle games, where she created lasting memories with her loved ones.
Helen is survived by her son, Brad Rider; daughter, Randy Bosley; grandson, Richard William Bosley; granddaughter, Bailey Rider Bosley; and great-grandson, William James Suter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn "Artie" Rider.
Helen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
