Obituary

Helen Clark, age 91, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Helen was the beloved daughter of her late parents, Robert Fitzell Krauk and Lynette Bernice (Edwards) Krauk. She and her late husband David Earl Clark were married for more than fifty years.

Helen was devoted to music, and served for more than forty years as the organist and choir director at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Bel Air and West Liberty United Methodist Church in White Hall. She was also a former member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bel Air, where her faith continued to guide her throughout life.

In addition to her life-long love of music, Helen was a self-taught expert in making ceramics and shared her talents as a ceramics instructor. She also enjoyed boating with her father, sewing, and spending time with her family. In her later years, Helen and Dave enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV, and frequently provided music for their nearby campers. Her kindness, creativity, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Helen is survived by her loving sons, John Clark (Margaret Eggers) and Robert Clark (Tracey); her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Lura (Patrick), Christopher Clark (Rhiannon), Holly Clark, and Amanda Snider (Hank); her beloved great-grandchildren, Philip Lura, Bobby Lura, Frances Clark, Charlotte Clark, and Sophie Clark; her sisters, Barbara Huettner and Sarah Wall (Joseph); and many extended family members and dear friends.

Helen's love for her family, music and creativity will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
