Heather Marie Walterhoefer, age 40, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Heather was the cherished daughter of Steven Lee Walterhoefer and Deborah Ann (Holden) Simmons.

A proud 2003 graduate of John Carroll High School, Heather spent much of her youth actively involved in gymnastics, ending her years of competition at Harford Gymnastics. Later in life, she brought her leadership and dedication to her role as a hospitality professional for Host HMS at BWI Airport.

Heather’s greatest joy was her family, to whom she was deeply devoted. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter who treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her daughters, Camelia and Rowan.

In addition to her daughters, Heather is survived by her mother, Deborah (Scott) Simmons; her father, Steven (Gin) Walterhoefer; her aunt, Denise Walterhoefer; her uncles, Michael and Steven (Tami) Holden; her brothers, Brian (Heather B) Walterhoefer and Scott Simmons, II; her sister, Sierra Simmons; her niece, Guinevere; and her grandmother, Dolores Holden.
