Harvey was the beloved husband of Donna Lee (White) Blessing, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Deborah (Robert) Czawlytko and Robin Blessing. He was a loving grandfather to Steven (Lauren) Czawlytko, Anne Marie (Joshua) Baumann, and Elizabeth (Bryan) Spath, and a proud great-grandfather to Mason Czawlytko, Madison Czawlytko, Jackson Czawlytko, Armand Baumann, Mariana Baumann, Samuel Baumann, Hannah Spath, Natalie Spath, Walter Spath, and Oliver Spath. He is also survived by his sister, Donna (Thomas) Bartolomeo.

Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army as part of an engineering battalion, an experience he greatly valued. He dedicated much of his life to helping others, including serving as a mentor to his students and as a Stephen Minister at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kingsville. He took great pride in caring for his church, helping maintain its treasured icons such as the bell, and even building a display case for its historic German Bible.
Harvey had a deep love for people and found joy in golfing, woodworking, and connecting with others. He was especially committed to supporting those in ill health through Stephen Ministry, and others who struggled in life.
Above all, Harvey cherished his family. He had a special love for children and took immense pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his wife dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
