H. Albert Petz Jr.

H. ALBERT PETZ JR., age 84, of Bel Air, MD, died on September 11, 2007 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation, Forest Hill, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late H.Albert Petz Sr. and Ethel Christine Lindauer Petz. A veteran of the U.S Army Air Corp., he served our country during WWII. He was a member of Grandview Christian Church, and was a past elder, trustee, and deacon at Faith Presbyterian Church, and was a Gideon for Gideon Bibles. He graduated from Loyola College in 1949 with a BA degree in Accounting. He was past president of the Savings and Loan League of Maryland, and was a vice-president for Bradford Bank, where he retired after more than 50 years in the Savings and Loan Industry. He prepared taxes for AARP for many years, and volunteered at the Light St. soup kitchen, as well as, a volunteer with FISH for many years. An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed traveling, playing badminton, the ocean, and music, especially Glenn Miller. He also enjoyed swimming, where he competed in the Senior Olympics.

Mr. Petz is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Lee Pool Petz of Bel Air, MD; three sons, Thomas Albert Petz and wife, Julie, of Amelia Island, FL, Brian James Petz and wife, Deborah, of Abingdon, MD, and Roger Damon Petz of Bel Air, MD; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Wilkinson of Bel Air, MD and Jennifer Lee Rich and husband, George, of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Daniel P. Petz, Ashley V. Petz, Joshua D. Petz, and Emily C. Petz, all of Abingdon, MD, Lydia C. Rich and Seth O. Rich, both of Baltimore, MD; and a great-granddaughter, Brooke E. Petz of Abingdon, MD.

Pallbearers will be Daniel P. Petz, Joshua D. Petz, Seth O. Rich, George F. Rich, Roger D. Petz, and David Serrio.
