Guillermo Raul Arguero passed away at home on October 4, 2025. Known to his friends and family as Billy, he was the beloved husband of Teresa Gerrity Arguero, father of Carlos and Daniel, and brother to Roberto (Jill), Elizabeth (Gordon) Priest, and Christine (John) Unitas. Preceded in death by his parents Roberto and Miriam Arguero and his brother Fernando. He is survived by many cherished family members and dear friends.

Born in Baltimore in 1956, Billy spent parts of his childhood in his parents’ native Argentina until 1970 when the family permanently relocated to Maryland. He was a 1974 graduate of Loch Raven High School and earned a Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland. Billy recently retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service at Aberdeen Proving Ground where he was an environmental scientist. Active in Boy Scouts in Troop 313 and Pack 810, he was the proud father of two Eagle Scouts. He spent many years coaching for the Emmorton Rec. Soccer program, and as a lifelong supporter of the Argentine national team, he was ecstatic when La Albiceleste won the World Cup in 2022. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed spending time at the beach, exploring national parks, and camping with his wife and boys. He was an avid griller and enjoyed nothing more than sharing good food and drink with family and friends.

On November 8th at 10:00 am, the family will receive visitors at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1450 Abingdon Road, Abingdon, MD with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Interment services will be private.
