Gladys R. Meurer

Gladys R. Meurer, age 89, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on January 22, 2020 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Charles M. and Daisy Pearl (Ketchum) Hilker and wife of the late Gilbert George Meurer Sr. She loved to bake and enjoyed roses and poinsettias. Gladys took care of her family and helped her neighbors whenever she could.

Gladys is survived by two sons, James Meurer and his wife, Jennifer and Gilbert G. Meurer, Jr.; daughter, Linda Garnier; granddaughter, Jamie Meurer; and Dana Sclafani, who also became part of the family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Clayton Hilker; and sister, Darlene Reinthaler.

Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
