Gilbert Leroy Scarff

Gilbert Leroy Scarff, 84, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Born in Maryland to the late Grayson W. Scarff and Clara (Isenock) Scarff, Gilbert called Harford County home for most of his life.

Gilbert was married to Bonnie Scarff for 36 wonderful years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Janet Scarff, in 1985, as well as his brother Grayson Scarff.

A lifelong hard worker, Gilbert spent most of his career in construction, earning respect for his dedication, strength, and skill. He had a deep love for tractor pulls, where he proudly won many trophies over the years. But more than anything, Gilbert was a devoted family man who treasured his children and grandchildren, sharing his warmth, guidance, and humor with them every day.

In addition to his wife, Gilbert is survived by his sons Matthew Scarff and Stephen Scarff; five cherished grandchildren.
