In Loving Memory of George Wilson Batzer, Jr.

George Wilson Batzer, Jr., age 91, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

George’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy A. Batzer; his children, John Batzer and wife Deborah, and Laura Batzer and spouse Russell Nugent; his grandchildren, Kyle Batzer and James Batzer with wife Grace; his great-grandchild, Pheonix Batzer; and his sister, Linda Glorioso and husband John. He is reunited in heaven with his parents George Wilson Batzer, Sr. and Margaret Marie (Kearney) Batzer and sisters, Mary Batzer and Nancy Mortimer.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army and later devoted 45 years to Baltimore’s telecommunications industry. His career began with AT&T and continued through Chesapeake & Potomac, Bell Atlantic and Verizon, where his dedication and expertise earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

George was loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Colts, and later the Ravens. He treasured time at the beach with family and friends, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Known for his colorful humor and unwavering willingness to help others, George touched countless lives with kindness and laughter.
