Geoffrey McKinley
Stinson
December 11, 1960 – February 2, 2026
Geoffrey "Geoff" McKinley Stinson, age 65, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late McKinley Stinson and Anna Buchanon Stinson-Allen.
Geoff grew up in Havre de Grace, Maryland and was an active member of the local St. James AME Church along with his parents.
Geoff later served in the United States Army as an E4 Infantry Tactical Wire Operating Specialist. His accomplishments in the army included sharpshooting and earning his badge for air assault (propelling out of helicopters). During his service he was stationed in Hawaii and Japan where he developed an appreciation for the cultures.
After serving in the military, he was employed by Tessco Technologies as a Technical Support for wireless communications for twenty-five years. During this time he also attended classes at the Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts. After earning multiple certifications, he became a wedding and event photographer and videographer. His work was loved and well received by many of his clients.
Geoff enjoyed cooking gourmet meals at home. As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed football, basketball and tennis. He frequently attended the Baltimore Ravens football games and the Washington Wizards basketball games. He annually attended the US Open Tennis matches in New York City. He actively stayed fit by weightlifting, running and walking. He had a love for jazz and Latin music and took great pride in his music collection. He had a passion for traveling; visiting tropical destinations such as Jamaica, Bahamas, Cancun and Puerto Rico.
Geoff is survived by his son Xavier Stinson and daughter-in-law Emily Stinson of Belcamp, Maryland. Daughter Ke'Anna Stinson and grand-dog Cody Stinson of Nottingham, Maryland. Former wife, Carmen Wise-Stinson of Belcamp, Maryland. His Uncle Thomas Neely and Aunt Mae Neely of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Geoff will be remembered as a jack-of-all-trades, with his quiet strength, creativity, intelligence and love of family. He will always be in our hearts, rest in peace.
