Gary Lynn Caldwell

Gary Lynn Caldwell, age 66, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Edgewood, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Iva N. (Norton) Caldwell and the late Darrell Caldwell.

Gary was a devoted son, brother, and uncle who cherished his family deeply. He dedicated his life to his mother, sister, niece, and nephew, always offering his love and support. He was a longtime member of Presbury United Methodist Church in Edgewood, where his faith and fellowship were an important part of his life. Gary was a special education teacher for 30 years. He graduated from Johns Hopkins with a masters degree in special education. His students were very special to him . 

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Caldwell, and his nephew, Alex Cohen.

Gary is survived by his loving mother, Iva Caldwell; his sister, Sandy Cohen and her husband, Steven; and his niece, Lindsay Cohen. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Gary's family will be hosting a Celebration Of Life on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Presbury United Methodist Church 806 Edgewood Road, Edgewood, MD 21040 with a reception to follow.
