Franklin D. Cox

Franklin D. Cox, age 88, of Pylesville, Maryland passed away on May 25, 2022 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Galax, Virginia, he was the son of the late James and Attro (Elliott) Cox and husband of Shirley (Huffman) Cox for 67 years. 

Franklin is survived by his wife; two daughters, Terresa (Alvin) Bopp, Cheryl (Paul) Alexander; sons, James "Eddie" (Donna) Cox, Anthony "Tony" (Rachael) Cox; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by 9 siblings and is survived by 1 sister.

Franklin was a true family man – devoted to his wife and a role model for his children. He was a master carpenter and avid gardener. Franklin was blessed with a keen and inquisitive mind. He will be greatly missed by his family.
