Frank August Nauman, Sr.

February 27, 1947 — October 9, 2025

Frank August Nauman, Sr., age 78, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the beloved son of the late Frank Ernest Nauman and Theresa Dorothy (Funk) Nauman.

Frank proudly served his country as an Air Force Veteran. He remained dedicated to supporting fellow servicemen and women through his involvement while working at the Maryland Air National Guard as a jet mechanic, retiring in 2004. He also worked as a limousine driver after he retired. A man of deep faith and generosity, Frank was an active member of the Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene, where he served in multiple capacities and regularly volunteered his services at the church.

He had a passion for classic cars and especially loved driving his '65 Chevy Nova. Frank enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, traveling, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda (Bracken) Nauman; his loving daughters, Mandy Nauman and Anastasia Nauman (Dane Wilson); and his cherished grandchildren, Grant Ortel and Olivia Wilson. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Airey (Robert); his brother, Robert Nauman (Robin); nieces, Jessica Nauman and Heather Bush (Chris); and nephew, Ryan Airey. He was close to and loved by extended family Shelby Crowe, Gary Bracken (Nancy), Brenda Willard (Jay), and cherished nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McComas Celebration of Life Center. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM, with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to the Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene Compassion Center or checks can be mailed to:  Fawn Grove Compassion Center, Inc, 5300 Fawn Grove Road, Pylesville, Maryland 21132.

Frank will be remembered for his kindness, service, and the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.
