Francis A. Monks

Francis A. Monks, age 82, of Abingdon, MD, died on May 13, 2010 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Glen Arm, MD, he was the son of the late John Monks Sr. and Helen Monks, and husband of the late Patricia A. Monks. He worked in maintenance at Harford Community College and enjoyed visiting with his friends for breakfast at McDonalds. A member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, he also belonged to Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, and the Country Tones Band in which he played in Harford and Cecil County for many years.

Mr. Monks is survived by his son, George E. Monks of Joppa, MD; brother, Paul Monks and wife, Marge, of Glen Arm, MD; grandson, Patrick A. Monks of Abingdon, MD; and three great-grandchildren.
