Floyd ''Tex'' Estes

Floyd "Tex" Estes, age 85, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 20, 2010 at his home. Born in Byers, TX, he was the son of the late Frederick Albert and Esta Elizabeth Bigham Estes. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII. He retired from GM after 33 years of service as a supervisor and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Estes is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda B. Rutherford Estes of Bel Air, MD; sons, Steve Estes and wife, Patty, of Grand Prairie, TX and Keith Estes and fiancée, Sandy Craig, of Columbia, MD; sisters, Jewell Isaacs of Roswell, NM and Imogene Caroland of Iowa Park, TX; grandchildren, Tricia Nilles of Fallston, MD, Joshua Estes of Columbia, MD, Valerie Estes of Havre de Grace, MD and Kyle Estes of Bel Air, MD; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Everitt and Robert Estes, and sister, Lillie Kirkpatrick.
