Flora Abigail Fernandez Cordova, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was born in Peru and was the beloved daughter of Rene Domingo Fernandez Daza and Rosa Estela Cordova Salas, both of whom preceded her in death.

Flora was a loving mother and grandmother who was always helping everyone, especially her family. She was very strong, honest, and loving, never sugarcoating her words yet always speaking with care and compassion. She had a gentle nature and was always ready to offer guidance and kindness to anyone in need. A devoted Catholic, she lived her life doing right by others regardless of their past transgressions and never expected anything in return. She was forgiving, non-judgmental, and deeply supportive, consistently showing her loving heart to those in need. Flora shared an unbreakable bond with her beloved daughter, who was always by her side, and she cherished her grandchildren and family deeply. She loved history, politics, and law, and was highly intelligent with a strong curiosity about how different societies worked. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Flora is survived by her daughter, Rosa Elena Pineda; her grandchildren, Emylio Sebastein Pineda, and Micaela Abigail Pineda; her sister, Julia Zuniga Fernandez; her brothers, Luis Alejandro Fernandez Cordova, Daniel Rene Fernandez Cordova, Victor Felix Fernandez Cordova, Juan Fernandez Cordova, and Pascual Fernandez Cordova; her nieces, Rosa Abigail, Daniella, Katheryn, Natalie; and her nephews Alex, Bryan, Nilson,Victor, Wilfredo, Israel, Julio, and Gainfranco.
