Eva Mae Hooper

July 12, 1924 — January 5, 2014

Eva Mae Hooper, age 89, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on January 5, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Harlan, KY she was the daughter of the late Murphy and Molly Boatwright Hensley and wife of the late Edward W. Hooper. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church since 1945 and was a resident of Harford Senior Housing for 15 years. She was a descendent of the Hensley Settlement that is now the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park.

Mrs. Hooper is survived by her daughter, Shirley Jones of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Eric and Erin Classon; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Tommy, Logan and Kaese; step-great grandchild, Kaylin; one brother and one sister, both of Kentucky; and her constant companion of 15 years, Robert LaBree. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Carol Classon Mumpower.
