Estrella (Star) Jose Mabini, age 66, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Born in the Philippines, Estrella was the beloved daughter of the late Dennis Quiamas Mabini and the late Pilar (Jose) Mabini.
Estrella was a dedicated professional who devoted 34 years of service to the Department of Defense at Edgewood Arsenal, where she worked as a Training Analyst. She retired in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, commitment, and professionalism.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church prior to its closing and was a current member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was also actively involved in the Filipino Association of Upper Chesapeake, and The Ilokano Kami Association, serving as Officer and Treasurer and contributing her time and talents to the organizations for many years.
Estrella embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She had a passion for travel and was fortunate to visit destinations throughout the world. She also enjoyed gardening, exercising, and cooking, finding joy in sharing her talents and experiences with family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Dennis Quiamas Mabini and Pilar (Jose) Mabini, Estrella was preceded in death by no other immediate family members.
She is survived by her loving sons, Eric Cacal and Michael Cacal and his wife, Katherine; her sisters, Estela Drewelow, Imelda Douglas, and Darlene Soriano; her brother, Elmer Mabini; many cherished nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
