Ernie Leonard

Ernie Leonard, age 66, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on September 18, 2024, at Sterling Care Bel Air in Bel Air. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was the son of the late Elmer and Phyllis (Markle) Leonard.

Ernie was a hardworking and generous man who found joy in helping others. He had a passion for yard work and spent much of his time lending a hand to neighbors with their lawns. He also loved going to MaGerks farm, where he spent countless hours assisting with farm work, always ready to pitch in and help wherever needed. Ernie especially treasured the time spent with his nieces and nephews, who were a source of great pride and joy for him.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, and his love for family and the simple pleasures of life.

Ernest is survived by his brothers, Harold (Kathy) Leonard, Elmer Leonard; nieces, Julia Leonard, Merri Leonard, and Kristen Leonard; nephew, Shane Leonard. Ernie is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-nephews.
