Obituary

Ernest L. Molnar, age 94, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Andrew Molnar and Helen (Hango) Molnar. He was the devoted husband of Marcia A. (Aldrich) Molnar.

Ernest was a man who truly enjoyed life and the simple pleasures that came with it. He was an avid boater who spent countless happy days along the Chesapeake Bay, often stopping to visit the many yacht clubs throughout the region. He also enjoyed good food, traveling, and cars. Ernest especially loved finding a good deal, particularly when it came to a favorite “Happy Hour.” Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends and created many lasting memories with those he loved.

In addition to his loving wife, Marcia A. Molnar, Ernest is survived by his devoted daughter, Debra L. Adolph; Marcia's son and daughter: Scott (Julie) Craumer and Wendy (David) Fatkin; his cherished grandchildren, Amanda N. (John) Monath and Stephen (Janelle) Adolph; Marcia's grandchildren: Emily Fatkin, Sarah Fatkin, and Flynn Craumer; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Madison E. Monath and Andrew H. Adolph.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his son, Robert Molnar and his son-in-law Howard Adolph.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ernest’s memory to the Hydrocephalus Association, https://www.hydroassoc.org/, 6903 Rockledge Drive, Suite 740, Bethesda, MD 20817.
