Mr. Eric James Keele, age 88, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Born in River Sioux, IA, Mr. Keele was the son of Newell Thomas Keele and Clarice Marie Keele of Blencoe, IA and brother to Marlys Kommes of Le Mars, IA, all of whom preceded him in death.

Mr. Keele was a proud Army veteran who honorably served his country and dedicated 50+ years of his career as an Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Keele; his loving children, Mark Keele (Sandy), Kelly Keele Rupp (John), Michael Keele (Molly), and LeAnne Keele McNamara (J.J.). As well as his beloved granddaughters, Elizabeth Rupp, Madison Rupp, Grace Rupp, Macy Rupp, Heather Keele Pulvermuller, Lara Krygier, Stephanie Pettyjohn, Maggie Keele, Sophie Keele, Annie Keele, Julia McNamara and MaryKate McNamara.

Mr. Keele’s legacy of dedication, service, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
