Elzie Pauline Meadows

Elzie Pauline Meadows, age 70, of Edgewood, MD passed away on January 10, 2014 at her son's house. Born in Comanche, OK, she was the daughter of the late Bud Roberson and Pauline Ada Trest Davis and wife of the late Meshack Meadows Jr. A Harford County resident since 1961, she had worked at Bata Shoe Company for 17 years, later worked at the original Wawa in the area at the corner of Route 24 and Route 7, and finally worked at the Rite Aid Distribution Center in Perryman. She was a lifelong member of Edgewood Assembly of God, where she was very active and was a founding member of the Missionettes, taught Sunday school and was an Honors Sponsor, later in life completing the program herself. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, known by her family as a prankster, loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed going to duck ponds, traveling and amusement parks.

Mrs. Meadows is survived by her son, Buddy Eugene Meadows and wife, Susan of Abingdon; brothers, Howard Davis of Temple, OK, M.B. Davis of Elk City, OK and Clifford Davis of Sayre, OK; sister, Shirley Dahl of Walters, OK; grandchildren, Kelly Germroth of Catonsville, James Briggs of Massachusetts, Nikki Meadows of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Kevin Meadows of Abingdon, Jennifer Briggs and Roberson Meadows Jr., both of Hyannis, MA and Ronald Meadows of Abingdon; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Roberson Meshack Meadows Sr. and sister, Willie Alice Woosley.

Pallbearers will be Kevin, Ronald and Roberson Meadows, Jeff Wainwright, Robert Soto, James Thacker, Tom Godfrey Jr. and Tony Shunk.
