Elsie Faye Street, age 87, of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. Born in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Giles E. Compton and Stella E. (Street) Compton and the beloved wife of the late Earl E. Street.

Elsie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held an especially treasured place in her heart, and the time she spent surrounded by those she loved meant everything to her.

Throughout her life, Elsie enjoyed cooking and bringing her family together around the table. One of her favorite traditions was her annual Fourth of July cookout, where good food and time with family created many cherished memories. She also enjoyed bowling and line dancing and was an enthusiastic sports fan. She loved cheering on the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens and enjoyed watching college basketball.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Wesley E. Street and his wife, Robin, and Brian L. Street and his wife, Janet; grandchildren, Jacob Street and his wife, Chelsea, Bailey Street, Holly Street, Hunter Street, Brian Kelly, Jr., and Katelyn Wills and her husband, Chuck; great-grandchildren, Emerson Street, Ellie Street, Eden Street, Macie Wills, and Neyland Wills; brother, Ralph Compton and his wife, Virginia; brother Sturgle Compton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Elsie was preceded in death by her sisters, Carleen Jackson and Lovella Compton.
