Elmer Elgert

Elmer Elgert, age 93, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 14, 2017 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Elmer and Marie (Furst) Elgert. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a steel fabricator and worked in construction. He enjoyed watching baseball, John Wayne movies, movies about WWII, Frank Sinatra music, fishing, crabbing and traveling.

Mr. Elgert is survived by his wife of 71 years on June 29, 2017, Blanche Margaret Elgert (Sue); daughter, Susan Kathleen Keffer, and her husband, Richard T. Keffer Jr., of Bel Air; grandson, Richard T. Keffer III of Bel Air; great-granddaughter, Logan Elizabeth Keffer and great-grandson, Grayson Thomas Keffer; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine Adams, Marie Karcher, Margaret Henry and Eva Stanbro and brother, Arthur R. Elgert.
