Edward “Bo” Fouse, Sr., age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Born in Marion, Virginia, Bo was the son of the late Francis Fouse and the late Nannie Belle (Griffey) Fouse.
Bo is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Karen Fouse; his children, Edward Fouse, Jr. (Karen Wilhelm-Fouse), Michael (Wendy) Fouse, and Janet Fouse (James Arowoselu); his grandchildren, Brittany Fouse and Andrew (Katie) Fouse; and his great-grandchildren, James Lunney VII, Eli Fouse, McKenna Fouse, and Teagan Fouse. He is also survived by his sisters, Lillian (the late Henry) Jennings, Josephine (the late Dale) Barker, Brenda (the late Oscar) Roark, and Nancy (Eddie) Mullins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Fouse; and his sister, Virginia Rutherford.
In his early years, Bo was employed by the Bata Shoe Company. He later became a welder at Wiley Manufacturing, where he worked on the construction of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. He eventually co-owned his own masonry business, Razorback Masons. Bo also worked for the Carpenter’s Union as a journeyman carpenter, notably assisting with the construction of the Conowingo Dam Fish Lift.
Bo had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, and raising chickens. He delighted in delivering fresh vegetables and eggs to his friends, family, and neighbors. He also proudly raised and trained hunting dogs, including beagles and coonhounds. He frequently entered them into hunting competitions, earning many trophies and awards, most notably United Kennel Club state and national championships.
Known for his humor and generous spirit, Bo was filled with joy and kept his wife and family laughing. He was always ready to help anyone in need and would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. In his prime, he was full of energy and constantly on the move, often described as being “the Mayor of Harford County,” as everyone seemed to know him.
Later in life, Bo faithfully attended Baptist View Church, until he was no longer physically able.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bo’s name to the ASPCA.
