Edna May Barringer

EDNA MAY BARRINGER, age 85, of Abingdon, MD, died on August 2, 2008 at her home. Born in Ennis, NC, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Mack and Anna Caroline Reed Cochran. A Harford County resident for 83 years, she had worked at Bata Shoe Company, was a riveter at Martin Aircraft Company, and a cook at The Children's Fresh Air Camp in Benson, MD. She loved poetry and enjoyed painting and cooking.

Mrs. Barringer is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Spencer Barringer of Abingdon, MD; a son, Frank Dale Barringer and his wife, Nancy, of Abingdon, MD; a brother, Wallace Cochran of Street, MD; a sister, Helen Dorman of Abingdon, MD; and a step-granddaughter, Emily Myers of Abingdon, MD.

Pallbearers will be Craig Buckson, Jimmy Miller, Roger Cochran, Ed Zepp, John Norris, and Nick Whiteford.
