Edith Elizabeth Hartlove

Edith Elizabeth Hartlove, age 97, of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and was the beloved daughter of William Hartlove and Lillian (Rapkin) Hartlove, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the devoted sister of Helen Ross, Walter Hartlove, and Edgar Hartlove all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephew, Vicky Ciulla, Kimberlee Ross-Ernst, and Terry Ross, and her great niece and nephews, Rachelle Ciulla, Brandon Ernst, and Justin Ross. Family meant the world to her, and she was a trusted friend to many.

An avid duck pin bowler throughout her life, Edith also enjoyed playing billiards and pinball as a young woman. She had a deep love for dogs and especially cherished the time she spent walking her dogs. Known for enjoying a good whiskey, Edith lived life on her own terms. She worked for many years as a national expense account auditor and real estate agent, careers she took great pride in.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edith’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter).
