Dr. Annette Ann George, age 71, of Bel Air, MD passed away on July 18, 2026. Born in Port of Spain, she was the beloved daughter of the late Egbert Lawrence and Ruby O’Keiffe. She will be remembered as a dedicated educator, mentor, and compassionate individual whose life was defined by her commitment to helping others.

Dr. George earned her Ph.D. and devoted her professional career to education as a professor at Morgan State University, where she taught Business and Real Estate. She took great pride in educating and mentoring her students, finding her greatest joy in helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, as she inspired countless students through her guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Outside of her career, Dr. George found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed traveling, with visits to Chinatown in New York among her favorite destinations. She was an avid music lover and appreciated the comfort of classic television, especially watching Perry Mason and Columbo series.

Above all, Dr. George will be remembered for her generous heart, kind spirit, and the lasting influence she had on the many lives she touched. Her legacy of service, mentorship, and compassion will continue to live on through her family, friends, colleagues, and former students.

Dr. George is survived by her son Abayoni Sean Tobias; daughter in-law Phyllis Tobias, grandchildren, Winston Jai Tobias and Claire Simone Tobias; siblings Earl O'Keiffe, Ann Marie O'Keiffe, and Heather O'Keiffe; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Anesta O'Keiffe-Charles, Andrea Carimbocias, and Rhonda Sylvester.
