Dorothy Michalina Pippel, 98, formerly of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, was called to the Lord on April 19, 2026, while at Hart Heritage Assisted Living in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born on September 29, 1927, in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was one of thirteen children of the late John Przecha and the late Rose F. (Pietrzykowski) Przecha.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Pippel, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Tina) Pippel of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her daughter, Dorothy (John) Martin of Fallston, Maryland; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Dorothy resided in Philadelphia and Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, and later in Fallston and Bel Air, Maryland before her move to Forest Hill. Affectionately known as “Dot,” she enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing many meals together, especially Maryland crab cakes. Although she moved to Maryland over 30 years ago, she remained a devoted supporter of her Philadelphia sports teams. She also had a love for professional golf and attended several PGA tournaments.
Dot was an avid bingo player and had a strong dedication to her faith. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Southampton, Pennsylvania for over 40 years. After moving to Maryland, she became a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Fallston. She made many friends throughout her life with her warm smile and heartfelt personality.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made by offering a donation or having a Mass said for Dorothy at the parish of your choice.
