Dorothy Molly Lacey, age 87, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Dorothy was born in Newark, New Jersey, and was the beloved daughter of Joseph Wilfred Heon and Dorothy Helen (Gordon) Heon, both of whom preceded her in death. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Glenn Barrick; son-in-law, Robert Skillman; daughter-in-law, Jeannine Lacey; and her beloved granddaughters, Rebekah Skillman and Emily Skillman.

She was the devoted wife of Donald J. Lacey, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Lacey; her children, Donny (Susan) Lacey, Deborah Skillman, Dianne Barrick, and David Lacey; her grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Abigail, Darrin, and Devin; and her great-grandson, Austin. She is also survived by her siblings, Arthur Heon, Jaqueline Nemeth, Linda Rockwell, Joan Shipley, and Marlene Allon.

Dorothy greatly enjoyed boating with her family on the Chesapeake Bay on their cruiser Sea Dream. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and pampering her beloved grand dog Rosie, who brought her endless joy.

Dorothy attended the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and Fairleigh Dickenson University. After her children were in school, she worked at McDonalds where she made many friends, both staff and customers, with her friendly, helpful attitude.
