Dorothy "Dot" L. Grafton, age 88, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on April 27, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Monkton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin T. Ensor and Helen McComas Ward, and wife of the late Merrell "Buggs" L. Grafton. She was the owner and operator of Carvel Ice Cream locations in both Bel Air and Edgewood. She was a member of Centre United Methodist Church and the Forest Hill Homemakers. An avid gardener, she enjoyed traveling, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Grafton is survived by her sons, Stephen J. Grafton and wife, Phyllis, of Trappe, MD and Stacey L. Grafton and wife, Mary Ann, of Forest Hill, MD; daughters, Sharon L. Barranco of Bel Air, MD and S. Lynn Blom and husband, Reed, of Forest Hill, MD; brother, Alan Ensor of Joplin, MO; sister, Emily Walker of Homosassa Springs, FL; grandchildren, Elizabeth Betsy Blom and fiancé, Jon Schultz, Jaime Cooper and husband, Chris, S. Sgt. Stephen Grafton and fiancée, Michelle Johnson, Eric Blom and wife, Amy, Helen Grafton, Kathryn Grafton, Alison Grafton; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jason and Kyle.
