Donna Lee Farmer, age 71, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, in Jarrettsville. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the beloved wife of Terry Farmer and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Vogel, and Thelma Marie (Brown) Vogel; her brother, Fred Vogel; and her sister, Diane Blasdell.
She is survived by her son, Danny Laughard; her daughter, Lisa Webb; her grandchildren, Sebastian Laughard, Zoe Webb, and Brian Webb; her sisters, Christine (James) Thompson and Janet (Bob) Smith; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Farmer. Also, survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Donna worked as a florist at Flowers By Bauer's for 25 years, a career that perfectly reflected her love of flowers and her creative spirit. She gave her all to everything she did and was a bright, shining star to everyone who knew her. Donna had a wonderful sense of humor and could make everyone laugh—even people she had never met before. She was truly a people-person who loved being surrounded by others.
Donna was creative and enjoyed crafts, especially making beautiful floral wreaths that she would take to craft shows. She also loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, Terry, and vacationing with friends. Above all, Donna loved her friends and family more than anything.
Donna was also a wonderful homemaker. She loved baking cakes and pies and sharing her baked goods with everyone. Her big, beautiful kitchen was a special place where she could create delicious treats for the people she loved.
Donna's warmth, generosity, laughter, creativity, and love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family will plan a Celebration of Donna's Life at a later date.
