Dolores Plumer, age 90, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Hart Heritage Estates in Street, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Bohdel and Elsie Dorothea (Sirovy) Bohdel. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond E. Plumer Sr. After raising her five children, Dolores continued to work with children as a bus aide for Harford County Public Schools. She retired in 2000.

Dolores was a faithful member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She had also been a member of the Jacksonville Senior Center and attended Bible study at Mountain Christian Church. She enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, including playing bingo and pinochle, bird watching, traveling, camping, and spending time in nature. Dolores was especially known for her love of crabcakes and never turned down a good one. Above all, she loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. She created a lifetime of loving memories with those closest to her.

She is survived by her loving children, Raymond E. (Regina) Plumer Jr., Michael (Teresa) Plumer, Bernadette D. (Charles) Howell, James H. (Valerie) Plumer, and Barbara C. (Robert) Koski; and her sister, Joyce C. Letke.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, James Bohdel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dolores’s memory to St. Stephen Catholic Church, Hart Heritage, or Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care.
