Dolores Holbrook Cullum
Beloved wife of Russell R. Cullum of Brogue, PA went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2026. Born March 24, 1946, she was the youngest of ten children born to Verna (Johnson) Holbrook and Gilbert Cecil Holbrook of Street, MD.
She attended elementary school at Slate Ridge School and attended high school at North Harford High School, graduating in 1964.
After high school she worked at Edgewood Arsenal as a secretary. She later worked for Kunkel Service Company in the accounting department. Dolores and Russell were married on January 7, 1967, and started their family in January 1970 when Pam was born and Penny in 1974.
After the girls started school, Dolores started working at Evangelical Methodist Church and Harford Christian School where she worked as a secretary for twenty-two years. Most recently she worked part time as a secretary for Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she and her husband have been members for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years Russell R. Cullum, daughter Pamela (Keith) Daugherty of Brogue, PA, daughter Penny Brown of Jarrettsville, MD, nine grandchildren: Ethan (Erin) Daugherty, Evan (Olivia) Daugherty, Elizabeth Daugherty, Emory Daugherty, Emily Daugherty, Elaina Daugherty, Elise Daugherty, Natalie Brown, and Josiah Brown. She is survived by one brother Douglas (Fran) Holbrook of Forest Hill, MD and one sister Barbara Edwards of Forest Hill, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Verna Holbrook, brothers Cecil, Dwight, Bual, and Lamar Holbrook and sisters Josie Glass and Shirley Coss.
Dolores loved the Lord and loved working for her church. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her world revolved around her daughters and nine grandchildren.
