Obituary

David Zachary “Zack” Wallace, age 40, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born on May 9, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland, Zack was the beloved son of Deborah Elizabeth Holt (née Abele) and David Scott Wallace.

Zack was a 2004 graduate of Western School of Technology and Environmental Science. Throughout his childhood, he loved spending time at the family shore home on Bauers Farm in Edgemere, Maryland. He enjoyed summer camping trips to Cherrystone Campground, spending time with family in the Outer Banks, and making memories with friends that, at the time, he could never have known would last a lifetime.

Zack loved Sparrows Point, the hometown he proudly called home throughout his life. He worked in sales for 84 Lumber in Timonium, Maryland, and later joined the family business, That Kitchen Place. Zack was known for his loyalty, generous spirit, and kind heart. He truly had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back.

In his free time, Zack enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved being involved with The Big Buck Rod and Gun Club and the North Point Horseshoe League. He was an avid supporter of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens and had recently discovered a passion for gardening. Above all, Zack dearly loved his faithful dog, Macie, and his cats, Sophie and Misty.

Zack is survived by:

His mother, Deborah Holt, and her husband, Guy Holt.

His father, David Scott Wallace.

His twin brother, Nicholas Wallace; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Wallace; niece, Austin; and nephew, Easton.

His grandmother, Margaret Lazor.

His grandmother, Jacqueline Abele.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Eileen Wallace, Charles Lazor, and Bernd Abele.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to support several of Zack’s favorite local causes, including the “Krazy” Santa Claus, Edgemere Bait and Tackle Youth Fishing Drives, and the Ravens Roost Super Plungers. Those wishing to contribute are encouraged to contact the family for donation information.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Balco Club, 9318 Todd Avenue, Fort Howard, Maryland 21052.
