David Harding Forney

David Harding Forney, age 88, died on April 7, 2009. A native of Davidsville, PA, he was a former resident of Edgewood, MD, having made Augusta, GA his home for the past 12 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa and was husband of the late Lucille Peters Forney. Mr. Forney was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served with the 101st Airborne Division and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was an avid golfer and skier.

Mr. Forney is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Paul and Elizabeth Forney of Augusta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Ron Wingate of Edgewood, MD; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
