Fallston

David Everett Conover, age 62, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully alongside his family on January 19, 2024, at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland, after a hard-fought battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Bell) Conover. Dave shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Rhonda (Sacol) Conover.

Dave had a passion for aviation, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma after high school to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics. He landed his dream job at Skytech, Inc., where he dedicated 41 years of his life, starting as an aircraft mechanic and recently retiring as Senior Executive Vice President & Sales Manager. His time at Skytech afforded him once-in-a-lifetime travel opportunities, and colleagues that were more like family. Dave’s passion for his work and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on the company.

A man of many interests, Dave found joy in hunting, fishing, traveling, boating, and cheering on the Ravens and Orioles. His happy places were in the woods in a tree stand, out on the water with a cold beverage, or in the stands at Camden Yards. He loved spending time with friends and family, and lit up any room he walked into with that big smile of his.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda, and their children, Lauren Conover and Brandon Conover. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law Linda Sacol, cousins that were more like brothers, Ken (Christine) Conner, Ron (Kim) Conner, and Keith (Marianna) Conner, and friends who were more like family, John and Sue Foster, Paul and Judy Dunaway, and Tom and Diane Cascella. He will also be dearly missed by his granddog, Stanley.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Conover.

The family suggests contributions to the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031, or the American Red Cross of Central Maryland, 4800 Mount Hope Drive, Baltimore, MD 21215. Additionally, if you are healthy and able, a donation of blood or platelets in Dave’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family, as these donations were life-saving to him in many instances this year.

A celebration of Dave's life will be planned for this spring or early summer. Details to follow.
