David A. Bell, age 66, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on June 20, 2014 at his home. Born in Fountain Green, he was the son of the late Conright and Dolly Bell (nee: Muller). He had just retired in January after working for DMI (Diversified Machining Inc.) for 45 years. He always kept busy and enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf, repairing cars and was well known for being mechanically inclined. He loved spending time with his family and friends, helping people whenever needed and was a dedicated member of Forest Ridge Baptist Church.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lina L. Bell (nee: Woods); daughters, Melisa L. Bell of Silver Spring and Heather D. Bell of Bel Air; stepson, Keith A. Hansford and wife, Nancy, of Ellicott City; brothers, Arthur C. Bell and wife, Marie, of Bel Air and Steven T. Bell and wife, Lilly, of Jarrettsville; two grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to help support brain cancer research to the National Foundation for Cancer Research, 4600 East West Highway, Suite 525, Bethesda, MD 20814.
