Darlene V. Hernandez, age 72, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Bel Air, MD.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Darlene was the beloved daughter of the late George Kenllor Grim and Catherine Elizabeth (Smith) Grim. She lived a life centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought happiness to those around her.

Darlene retired in 2022 after 25 years of dedicated service with the University of Maryland, where she worked as a medical biller. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones and found great pleasure in gardening, shopping, spending time with her family, and caring for her beloved cats.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her brother, George Grim, Jr.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Antonio (Dawn) Moukazis; her grandchildren, Hope Moukazis, Faith Moukazis and Antonio Moukazis, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Nora and Andrew; her sisters, Janice Grim and Darlyn Goles ; and her brothers, William Grim, Ronald Grim, and Lucky Grim. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
