Dang Hong Huynh

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dang Hong Huynh, age 72, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. He resided in Brick, NJ for the past 45 years also having a lake house in Delaware.

Dang was born in Vietnam, the beloved son of the late Danh Kim Huynh and Sam Thi (Dang) Huynh. Siblings are Thuy Phu Huynh, Nguyet Minh Huynh and husband, Minh Kim Huynh (predeceased), Nam Van Huynh (predeceased), Ha Thu Huynh (predeceased), Van Thu Huynh (predeceased), Son Xuan Huynh and wife (cousin). Sibling In-Laws are Mai Dougherty and husband, Kimberly Hicks and husband, Kenny Trac, Vuong Dang and Nguyet Kim Trac and husband. Along with loving nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Kimhen Thi Huynh (Trac). Together, they built a beautiful life and a loving family. He is also survived by his two cherished daughters: Anna Huynh-Blowe and Julie Pena. Along with Doug Blowe (Son-In Law), Julianna Blowe (granddaughter), Jason Pena (Son), and Zoe Pena (granddaughter). He would do anything for his family especially his granddaughters.

Dang attended school in Vietnam and earned degrees in Architecture. He practiced as an architect in Vietnam for five years before immigrating to the United States, where he started a new chapter. In 1984, he founded his own sign business, painting, and crafting vinyl advertisements for local businesses. He remained passionate and committed to his work up until falling ill.

A man of many talents and interests, Dang was a gifted artist who loved painting, gardening, and cooking. He was also an amazing handyman; he fixed anything and everything. Dang was also known for his generosity in sharing knowledge—he loved to teach and mentor others, especially in the arts. His creativity, strong-willed, kind heart, and hardworking spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Dang’s name.
