It is with deep love and profound sadness that we honor the life of Dane Allen Porter, 19, of Port Deposit, Maryland, who passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Frank Allen Porter and Laura (Hamilton) Porter. Handsome, naturally charming, respectful and hardworking, Dane brought a unique warmth, humor, and energy to everyone blessed to cross his path.

A graduate of the Rising Sun High School Class of 2025, Dane was eagerly building a bright future. Though only just turning nineteen, he carried himself with the quiet confidence of a young man who had stepped fully into his own. Having recently joined the Harford County Electrician Apprentice Program and working full-time in the trade, he approached his chosen craft with pride, ambition, and excitement for everything that lay ahead.

Dane embraced life with enthusiasm, a great sense of fun, and an eagerness to learn. You could often find him pushing himself at the gym, seeking thrills, or enjoying simple moments working alongside his father on projects. Dane also possessed a deep, soulful connection to music. His eclectic taste was remarkably broad and insightful for someone so young, serving as a vibrant expression of his unique personality and creative spirit. Dane’s newest passion was motorcycles. He had recently purchased his own and enjoyed riding and looking forward to new adventures. A memory that will be cherished forever by his family was recently spending his birthday at Village Greens Miniature Golf—a day filled with love, endless laughter, and friendly competition.

Above all else, family was Dane’s anchor. He shared a deep, loving connection with his parents, whose guidance and unwavering support shaped the extraordinary young man he became. That same love extended to his younger brother, Neil, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond—adoring and protecting him fiercely. Their closeness was a constant source of joy for the entire family.

Those who loved Dane will remember his gentle heart, irresistible charm, relentless drive, and the unforgettable memories he leaves behind. Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of his love and the strength of his spirit will remain with us forever. We find comfort in knowing that he is now safely home in the loving arms of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his devoted parents, Frank and Laura, Dane is survived by his beloved younger brother, Neil; his grandparents, Neil and Karen Hamilton, and Frank and Sandra Porter; his uncle Chad (Laurel) Porter; his aunt Clare Hamilton; his cousin Ryan Dawson; and a countless number of extended family and friends.
