Constantin P. Samaras, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Aberdeen, Maryland, at the age of 90.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, Constantin was the son of the late Pandelis C. Samaras and Helen P. (Theodossiou) Samaras. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Brong; brother, George Samaras; and sister, Cleo Nicholiades.
At the age of 27, Constantin moved to the United States with his then-fiancé, Evanthia, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage and life. They settled down, started a family, and built a life rooted in love and tradition. Constantin retired in the early 2000s after a long and respected career as an electrician at the University of Maryland.
In his younger years, Constantin enjoyed bowling and always looked forward to trips to the beach with his family. He was a devoted fan of both the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens, proudly supporting his hometown teams. He was a simple man who found his greatest joy in the presence of his loved ones—especially his grandchildren—and the companionship of his dogs.
Constantin is survived by his devoted wife, Evanthia Constantin (Antoniades) Samaras; his loving daughters and son-in-laws, Nitsa and Jamie Woodward, Christina Samaras and Tony Sarrio, and Eleni and Jason Smedley; and his cherished grandchildren: Madison Woodward, Jack Woodward, Anna Sarrio, Zoe Smedley, and Ava Smedley.
