Connie Jean Kemp

Connie Jean Kemp, age 65, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Connie was the beloved daughter of Ralph E. Cochran and Janet H. (White) Cochran.

Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend who cherished her time spent raising her children and spending time with her family. She had a huge, kind heart! She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Finn and her husband, James; her son, Christopher Kemp and his wife, Julie; and her treasured grandchildren, Dylan Finn, Lucas Finn, and Lucy Kemp. She is also survived by her loving parents, Janet Cochran and Ralph Cochran, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

For many years, Connie enjoyed bowling, crafting, sewing, and quilting. She had a wonderful “artistic eye” for decorating and took pride in creating beautiful spaces and handmade items. Connie also enjoyed her work with Jackson Hewitt, where she valued helping others and building friendships with coworkers and clients alike.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM; and 5:00 to 6 :00 PM at McComas Family Funeral Homes, Bel Air. Her funeral will begin at 6 :00 PM with the Pastor Kevin Pennepacker officiating.
