Christian Keller

Belcamp

On September 22,2023, Christian Charles Keller passed away at the age of 51 after a 10 month battle with leukemia.

Born September 17,1972 in Augsburg, Germany, Christian grew up an “army brat” until his family settled in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Christian graduated from Old Mill High School before earning his undergraduate degree in Film/TV from The University of Maryland Baltimore County. Christian met his wife, Amy, in 1994 when they were both UMBC students and the couple married in 2002. In September 2007, the duo became a trio when they welcomed their daughter, Abigail, into the world.

Christian lived his life according to a code of hard work, loyalty, and fairness. His quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor could lighten the most difficult situation.

He was a long-suffering Washington Football and Orioles fan who found joy in his dogs, music, coffee, video games, Star Wars, and the magic of Disney. He was a faithful friend and beloved family member, but Christian made his greatest impact as a husband and father. He was motivated in all things by his love for and devotion to Amy and Abby. He was happiest on his family vacations to Disney World, watching a movie with Abby, who he affectionately called his “baby girl” or on the beach in Hawaii or Castaway Cay beside his wife.

Christian was an exceptionally talented TV News Director, earning 9 Emmy Awards throughout a long career at stations in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., including CNN, Fox News, News Channel 8, WMAR, and News4.

He was determined to win against cancer, fighting ceaselessly for 10 months, through all the successes and setbacks he continued to be a warrior.  Although this particular battle was lost, Christian won at life.

Christian's family will begin welcoming friend's and loved ones at 1:45 PM followed by a sharing of memories beginning at 2:30 PM
