Christopher David Tselepis, age 49, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thurday, April 23, 2026 in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 21, 1976, Chris was the son of Sharon and John Tselepis and older brother to Robin Tselepis Rakowski, born five years later.
Chris grew up in Abingdon and Bel Air, Maryland and was a 1994 graduate of The John Carroll School in Bel Air. He received an associate degree from Essex Community College and continued his studies in computer science at UMBC. He met the love of his life, Jennifer Wilson, shortly after she ended a four-year stint in the Air Force while both were working behind the scenes in local community theater productions. They married on Sept. 15, 2006 and went on to have two children: Vincent, born in 2008 and Sophia, born in 2009.
Family was everything to Chris — devoted husband to wife Jen, superdad to his kids, a solid rock for parents Sharon and John, and the cool big brother to Robin and her husband Scott that everyone wishes they had.
Chris loved playing the guitar and was a hardcore music enthusiast. His eclectic tastes ranged from seventies Beach Boys to classical to hard rock, and he took his music very seriously. He had a strong love of cooking and was the grillmaster of the family. Chris was very politcally engaged and followed U.S. politics and global events closely. He loved animals and was the proud fur dad of a dog and cat. When moving day came, Chris was always the loyal friend you could count on to show up.
Chris is survived by wife Jennifer Tselepis, son Vincent Tselepis, 17, and daughter Sophia Tselepis, 16 of Havre de Grace, Maryland; mother Sharon Tselepis of Havre de Grace, Maryland; sister Robin Tselepis Rakowski and husband Scott Rakowski of Bel Air, Maryland; uncle William Ford of Havre de Grace, Maryland; uncle Thomas Ford and wife Patricia Ford of Ocean View, Delaware; and aunt Mary Tselepis in Boca Raton, Florida. Chris was preceeded in death by his father, John Tselepis of Havre de Grace, Maryland; grandparents Harold and Marilyn Ford of Joppatowne, Maryland; and grandparents James and Katherine Tselepis of Joppatowne, Maryland.
Chris will be remembered for his fierce intelligence, his delightfully dark sense of humor, and the love he poured into his family and friends. He was an amazing man we’ll never forget.
In lieu of flowers, contributations can be made in Chris’ name to the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Center for Autism Services at kennedykrieger.org.
