Chester Eugene Duncan, Jr., age 81, of Rosedale, MD, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born in Bellwood, WV, he was the son of the late Chester Eugene Duncan, Sr. and Thelma Lee (Carroll) Duncan and the beloved husband of the late Linda Ann (Dunkle) Duncan.

Chester proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years and remained deeply proud of his service and his country throughout his life. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Mark Catholic Church, a member of the VFW in Bel Air, and active with the Knights of Columbus. He spent many years serving on the St. Tropez Condo Board in Ocean City and the Majors Choice Neighborhood Board. Faith, religion, service and family were always most important to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ann Duncan; father, Chester Duncan, Sr.; and mother, Thelma Duncan.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Deborah Duncan Nosler and spouse Michael C. Young, and Lisa A. White and spouse Richard C. White; cherished grandchildren, Justin White, Samantha White, and Sean Nosler; sister, Sherian George; niece, Heather Peterman; great niece, Kiele Peterman; beloved cousin, Stanley Duncan; and beloved dog, Carly.

Chester was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Incredibly smart and known as “MacGyver” by those who loved him, he could fix anything that was broken and always had the answers when his family needed guidance. He was a wealth of knowledge, from history to problem-solving in the moment.

He enjoyed coin collecting, traveling, taking photographs, traveling on cruises, and had a passion for researching family ancestry and history. A lifelong sports fan, Chester loved cheering on the Ravens, Orioles, and IronBirds, and he also coached softball when his daughters were young. He was happiest watching his grandchildren play lacrosse, soccer, softball, and basketball. He enjoyed spending his vacations in Ocean City with his family, was an Elvis Presley fan, and enjoyed music from the 50’s and 60’s. Chester will be deeply missed for his big bear hugs, his wisdom, and the love he shared with everyone around him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Leukemia Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
