Charlotte L. Frank, age 80, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Born in Buckhannon, West Virginia, Charlotte was the beloved daughter of the late Harold Willard Bolyard and the late Beryl Virginia (Newlin) Bolyard.

Charlotte was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joe. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, adventure, and treasured memories.

Charlotte dedicated much of her career to healthcare, retiring from Johns Hopkins Hospital after more than 30 years of caring service as a Radiologic Technologist. Alongside Joe, she also helped operate their antique shop, Another Period in Time, in Fells Point, where they enjoyed meeting people and sharing their appreciation for unique treasures.

Following retirement, Charlotte and Joe fulfilled a dream of living in Florida, enjoying many happy years together in the sunshine. Eventually, they returned to Maryland to be closer to family. They found a welcoming home at Oak Crest Retirement Village, where they quickly formed friendships and became valued members of the community.

Charlotte found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, puzzles, sewing, and quilting, creating beautiful handmade gifts that reflected her generous spirit and creativity. She especially enjoyed playing Canasta and Joker, always with a cup of coffee in hand, no matter the time of day. She shared laughter, stories, and treasured memories around the table with family and friends. Her love for the game continued at Oak Crest, where she proudly started a Canasta club.

More than anything, Charlotte treasured being a grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with them.

A true Maryland girl at heart, Charlotte never lost her love for cheering on the Orioles and Ravens. She looked forward to cracking steamed crabs with family and friends, and anyone who knew her knew she always had a special place in her heart for sweets.

Charlotte will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle nature, unwavering devotion to her family, and the friendships she cultivated throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories she created and the love she shared so freely.

In addition to her husband, Joseph Frank Sr., Charlotte is lovingly survived by her children, Cynthia (Bill) Barry, Joseph (Karen) Frank Jr., and Virginia “Ginny” (Charles “Charlie” Pennington) Andreasik; her grandchildren, Richard “RJ” (Stephanie) Petrey, Carley (Joshua) Graves, Joseph Frank III, Lauren (Colin) Heacock, Brendan (Logan) Frank, Genna Andreasik, Gabrielle “Gabby” Andreasik, Julia Pennington, Katie (Mike) Young, Ryan (Claire) Barry; her great-grandchildren, Adley Graves, Sadie Frank, Callum Heacock, Audrey Young, and Eliza Young; and her sisters, Jacqueline Jones and Patty Taylor.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Bolyard, and her sisters, Bernice “Mike” Trumbull and Marilyn Skipper.

Charlotte will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
