Charles S. England

CHARLES S. ENGLAND, age 86, of Forest Hill, MD, died peacefully with his family at his bedside at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on September 25, 2006. Born in Chestnut Hill, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Melvin and Margaret Virginia Smithson England and the husband of the late Elizabeth Grace England. He had retired from Bata Shoe Company after 43 years of service where he was a sole cutter. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a longtime member of Welcome Home Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. England is survived by five sons, Charles R. England of Elkton, VA, Jerrold E. England of Delta, PA, John M. England of North East, MD, David A. England of Bel Air, MD, and Robert S. England of Abingdon, MD; one daughter, Patricia A. Mumpower of Jacksonville, NC; one brother, Willard England of Edgewood, MD; and six grandchildren.
