Charles "Bud" Harris

Charles "Bud" Harris, age 90, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on October 8, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Vulker) Harris and husband to Marge Harris. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, was a devoted and truthful family man with a great sense of humor. He loved cars, cooking, and traveling to Ocean City.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Bridget Harris; granddaughter, Mary Paugh; Cousin, Mardel Abremski; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Victoria and Paul Gaydos along with many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Harris and brother, Warren Harris.

I Am Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,

I’m following the path God has laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard His call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I found the peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joys-

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Oh yes, these things I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief-

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

God wanted me now, He set me free.
